41 volunteers and younger friends from the Friendship project attended an excellent performance the weekend before Christmas of “The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe”, which was performed at Playbox Theatre in Warwick, one of our volunteers commented “We enjoyed the play very much and I thought the whole performance was exceptional. You could not see better in the West End.”

Our Younger friends were enthralled by the show, particularly when Lucy was trying to explain to the others her adventure, and no-one believed her about her visit to take tea with Mr Tumnus, this was followed by an interval and all enjoyed ice creams, before the second half of the show when the wicked White Witch, and her scary wolves finally fell. The Younger Friends particularly enjoyed meeting 10 of the members of the cast in costume after the show, and find out more about them, before then being escorted by the cast on a back stage tour. This was followed by a traditional party tea, and cakes. With all the younger friends taking home party bags after the party tea.
