A huge thank you from the Friendship Project for Children to http://www.singitloud.co.uk for choosing us as their charity of the year for 2024 which was also their 10th anniversary year! We were very honoured to be chosen and supported by them.
In total from donations from both of their fundraising concerts and the ticket sales we received £3,041! This will go a long way towards paying for many outings, as we give the volunteer up to £14 for each outing. One considerable donation given by a choir member was specifically towards advertising for volunteers, so over the next year we will be using that donation to advertise and help promote the charity to raise awareness and funds.
Being part of the 10th anniversary was very special. The concert at Warwick Arts Centre was magnificent, with the huge, massed choir and orchestra.
For one of our previous Younger Friend and their Older Friend Judy to give a speech in front of all those people was a brilliant experience for them and has given them lots of confidence going forward. This is what we try to achieve with all our friendships. The fun and challenges in the friendship build the confidence and self esteem of the young person which they will then take forward with them into their lives as young adults.
