The Devon Coast to Coast walk runs between Wembury on the South Devon coast and Lynmouth on the North Devon coast passing through both Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks. It is appoximately 120 miles over varied terrain with stretches of bleak open moorland, deep wooded river valleys, green lanes and minor roads. Much of the route is hilly and walking conditions could be difficult in poor weather.
I am walking the path with 4 other people and we will average about 15 miles per day. The longest stretch will be about 20 miles and the shortest day around 9 miles. En route we will stay overnight at: Ivybridge; Holne; Widecombe-in-the-Moor; Chagford; Coleford; Witheridge; Withypool; and finally Lynmouth. You can follow progress on the web-site and now TWITTER!
