The Celebration day for our 25th Anniversary held at OLRFC in Leamington Spa proved to be a great success. Not only was the weather kind to us but the event met its three major aims. Firstly it allowed the Children in the project to have a day to remember. The smiles on their faces said it all!
Secondly the awareness of the Friendship Project was raised both by Older Friends meeting up and new prospective Volunteers showing interest. Last but not least on the fundraising front a total outcome figure of £4,260 was achieved. Included in this total was the income from ticket, raffle and cookbook sales as well as donations and income from activities on the day. We would like to thank all who made this event such a success namely, our Sponsors, Committee Members, Older Friends and Volunteers. The effect will hopefully be a lasting one in which the Friendship Project can flourish and sustain its objectives.
